What I built

Stabilise, optimise and extend.

I joined an established production system to fix what was breaking, make it faster and add the features it still needed. I did not build ufile.io from scratch.

  1. Critical production fixes

    Diagnosed and fixed issues on a platform that was already serving millions of users.

  2. Chunked uploads with pause & resume

    Implemented chunked uploads with pause and resume so a large transfer can survive an interruption.

  3. Query & indexing work

    Optimised indexing and queries to keep the application responsive as tables and traffic grew.

  4. Storage efficiency

    Optimised storage and infrastructure usage so a high-volume service stayed cheaper to run.

  5. Safe production delivery

    Shipped the work into a live system without disrupting the users already there.
